Phoenix Suns Scrimmage Game - September 29th  6:30PM  - Free Admission

PHX Suns Scrimmage

In preparation of their 50th season in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns will start training camp at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff on Sept. 26. They will then host a scrimmage at the Prescott Valley Event Center on Friday, Sept. 29, at 6:30 p.m.  The scrimmage will be free for fans to come and get a taste of Suns basketball and will have open seating on a first-come, first-served basis and feature a post-game autograph session.

Starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, the Phoenix and NAZ Suns will host a Fan Fest just outside of the Prescott Valley Event Center, home of the NAZ Suns, to get fans warmed up for the Open Scrimmage, which tips off at 6:30 p.m.  The Fan Fest will feature live music, interactive games, a kids area and enter-to-win prizes, including autographed Suns merchandise and Suns tickets.

Fans who RSVP for the scrimmage on Suns.com will be entered to win prizes, including autographed merchandise and tickets to the Suns’ regular season home opener on Oct. 18 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Four former NAZ Suns are slated to make their return to the Prescott Valley Event Center, where they played almost 40 games combined. Among those are Derrick Jones Jr. and Elijah Millsap, both fan favorites who earned considerable playing time at the NBA level last season. Tyler Ulis and Alan Williams donned a NAZ Suns uniform for a game in December.

If history repeats itself, fans could also see future NAZ Suns players in the mix. Jones, Derek Cooke Jr. and Shaquille Harrison were all part of the Phoenix Suns training camp roster last year before beginning the season in Prescott Valley.

Shortly after the Phoenix Suns begin their 50th season, the Northern Arizona Suns will tip off their second season in the NBA G League. Last year the NAZ Suns started their inaugural season in record fashion, winning 10 of their first 11 games.
